iScout has some handy feature updates to the Forms and Lessons editors.
Mass duplicate similar fields
You’re probably familiar with the Duplicate Field option in the the Forms Editor. Say you’re building an equipment inspection that will have fifteen items to inspect, and you plan to create a Select field for each with Satisfactory and Unsatisfactory as the responses. After you create the first field and adjust the settings to how you want them, select Duplicate Field, rename the new field, and repeat as often as necessary to create the form. Up til now, this has been the best way to quickly add similar fields.
But now, when building that same fifteen item inspection, after you create the first field and adjust the settings to how you want them, select Duplicate Field and use the Numbers of Fields To Add feature. Since you’ve created the first field, you would type 14 in the number box and the editor will have you name each of the duplicated fields until all have been created. Simple right?
Save & Stay
Clicking Save in the lesson editor will save the contents of the lesson and close the editor, returning you to the lessons list page. But now there is a Save & Stay option that allows you to save content and remain in the editor to continue working.
Have you ever accidentally clicked away from a page and returned to find your progress was lost? (I actually did just that when writing this update.) If you are working in the Lesson editor and you accidentally click away or your computer crashes, you can return to the editor (from the same computer) with an option to Resume with your previous content saved.
