Viewing Resources (iPhone & Android)

Once you
sign in to the iScout app, you will see a Resources button on the main screen.

This is a listing of documents like Orientations, Safety Procedures, etc that your Safety Administrator has uploaded to the iScout site.

Searching

You can search by resource type and category using the search box at the top of the screen.

Offline Access

It is possible for Safety Administrators to denote a resource as being available offline. This should be used sparingly since it will require a certain amount of device storage space for each resource.

Once you sign in, the app will automatically begin downloading these “offline resources”, but only if you are on a WiFi connection. This is to prevent the app from using up a cellular data plan.

Once a resource is downloaded, you will see a gray checkmark on the right side of the resource name.

If you wish to download these “offline resources” without an internet connection:

  • Open the Resources page
  • Press the Menu Button (top-right)
  • Press “View Download Status”
  • Press the settings icon (cog)
  • Choose “Cellular Data

If you wish do disable the automatic downloading of “offline resources”:

  • Open the Resources page
  • Press the Menu Button (top-right)
  • Press “View Download Status”
  • Press the settings icon (cog)
  • Choose “Do Not Download
