Compressed Gas Cylinders

Compressed gases and cylinders that store high pressure gasses pose significant hazards due to potential combustion, explosion, corrosion, or poison. Because of these hazards, a Compressed Gas Cylinder inspection form may be used to pro-actively identify any potential problems.

A Compressed Gas Cylinder Equipment inspection is a form to ensure safe use and maintenance of the compressed gas cylinder. This form is useful and efficient in notifying the proper authority of risks or needed repairs. By filling out an inspection form for the compressed gas cylinder a company will be more likely to catch any risks (ex. Wet or hot storage of the cylinders) or missed procedures (ex. Valves open while not in use). As noted in OSHA’s CFR 29 1910.101, “Each employer shall determine that compressed gas cylinders under his/her controls are in safe condition...” This will allow the company to make corrections or changes before an accident occurs instead of after. Preventative actions will significantly reduce the chance of a large lawsuit.

This form is a sample report which can be imported into your KPA Flex account. All forms including this one can be easily modified to fit your organization's policies and procedures.
