View Form Responses

Once a report is submitted it will automatically trigger any individual or group-notifications and can be seen by anyone who has access. Each report can be exported to PDF or forwarded as an email attachment. The response will include:

  • Who filled out the form
  • When the report was started, submitted, and received by iScout
  • How long it took the report to be filled out
  • The GPS location of the report (plus a map)
  • The weather conditions, wind, & temperature
  • The answers, photos, and other response information
  • The revision history including revision date, person who made the change, and what they changed

Analyzing Form Responses

Each form also provides an analysis page where you can search for responses, filter, sort, and visualize the data in countless ways.

Filtering Responses

iScout automatically generates a filter for every question in your form. For example, if you add a "Severity" question with Low, Medium, and High options, then you will be able to search for all responses where "High" was selected. If you add a "Location" select field to your form then you will be able to search for all responses with "Dallas" selected. You determine the questions and what options your team can choose.

You can also search by date, open follow-ups, observer, or even the observer's profile information. For example, search for all responses submitted by employees with the job title "Field-Tech". Filters can also be combined - so you could search forms submitted by "Field-Tech" employees with "Dallas" selected as the location.

Visualizing Responses

Once you've narrowed down which responses you want to view, you choose how to view the data. Once again the system automatically creates visualizations for nearly all questions in your form. For example, you can view responses as:

  • Individual Results - see one response per row and choose which columns (aka questions) you want to include
  • Excel - All Fields - dump all of the data into a giant Excel sheet
  • Excel - Specific Fields - choose which columns get downloaded into the Excel sheet
  • GPS Mapping - the GPS location of each form response is shown on a live map
  • Observer - see bar and pie graphs showing which team member have filled out the most-to-least reports
  • Charts & Graphs - select fields automatically graph the most popular answers as both a bar graph and pie chart
  • PDFs - send any of these reports to PDF for easy printing & forwarding
  • Scheduled Reports - schedule any of these reports to be automatically sent to your or your team periodically

Auto-Hiding Fields
